UMGC (formerly UMUC) pioneered distance learning long before the pandemic...and many years before the internet. But as the adult education space started to fill up, they realized they needed to up their storytelling and production levels. We were the lead creative team working directly with the university to test and launch their “Made For You” campaign, with multiple television spots, print, outdoor and digital tactics.
When the school changed its name from “University College” to “Global Campus” We created a light-hearted campaign using actual street interviews.
When Covid hit, we quickly created a mini campaign that showed UMGC wasn’t tone deaf, punctuating each spot with a powerful addition to the tagline: "Made For You" became "Here For You." We then quickly got back to business creating a new series of testimonial spots with current and former students using online video interviews.
Most recently, we helped UMGC create a brand-new photo library. The shoot included real students, faculty, staff, volunteers and extras with strict Covid protocols. Over the course of eleven days, the camera’s shutter clicked over 59,000 times. No typo-o.
