A local agency reached out to us for help in winning the Mount Vernon business. The brief we were given stressed that the campaign must focus on Washington’s mansion. But after conducting our own research, we came upon an insight that said we needed to make the Mount Vernon story bigger and more relevant — showing people just how much there is to do when you visit.
So, we developed the “#POTUS1” campaign, which was a far cry from anything Mount Vernon had ever done. We gave George a voice in the modern world and highlighted the full experience at Mount Vernon. Our bipartisan campaign delivered record ticket sales. It also found its way into the gift shop where it continues to generate revenue.
