ARLINGTON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT // STYLEBOARDS

Now that Amazon calls Arlington home, Arlington Economic Development knew they needed to up their brand and presence. Arlington is exploding with new growth, tech talent and is seeing a lot of surrounding competitive town centers and attractions building up — they needed to make a statement that Arlington is, without a doubt, the best location for your business. Our concepts and styleboards gave them powerful options.

RARE // CONCEPT DECKS

Rare is a global leader in social change for the environment. They have thousands of people in over 60 countries working to shift behaviors to help protect the nature that sustains our lives, communities and planet. But they knew changing behavior in America would not be easy. We were asked to create a unique brand and campaign that would resonate with people and educate them on the very simple things they can do that make a large difference. Our idea was to also start a movement and build a social community and network, giving community leaders the ability to take charge and amplify the movement.

THE MAYO CLINIC // CREATIVE CONCEPTS

Many companies have their own internal agencies, which can save them money. But when larger opportunities arise, they find they don’t always have the bandwidth to tackle everything. Or the experience. Mayo Clinic needed an internal campaign that thanked each and every employee for their contributions in another award-winning year, and also encouraged them to enroll in their internal conference and education programs. We concepted multiple ideas, creating unique looks, feels and voices for each, and provided guidelines on how they could continue the campaign on their own moving forward.

ADVERTISING AGENCY // PITCH MATERIALS

Pitching large or high-profile business can be challenging. Especially if you’re a small agency that does not have experience going after a well-known brand like Virginia Tourism, or going up against the likes of the Martin Agency in Richmond, Virginia. Having been there and knowing great ideas are how you level the playing field, we decided to pay homage to “Virginia is for Lovers” slogan, which was celebrating its 50th anniversary, by creating a book of individual Love Stories, staring every single employee at a Virginia agency. We sent each employee to multiple places throughout the state to capture images holding our branded ‘pin’ to mark the spot (these would help create a map at the end showing everywhere we visited). We directed the team to collect stories about the people, places and things they saw. We even captured a beautiful quote from a world-renowned, best-selling author who just happens to be a lifelong Virginian: David Baldacci. The Love Stories book went on to win an award from the American Advertising Federation.
